EVENTS

Theta Sound Studio presents a number of events throughout the year. These events bring songwriters, composers, vocalists, poets, voiceover talent, and other industry professionals together for a day or evening of hanging loose.

In February of 1998, we introduced our Theta Sound Coffee House series which has won rave reveiws by those who have attended. The Coffee Houses feature live performances in the intimate atmosphere of the recording studio. The shows are recorded and the artists leave with a studio quality recording of the event. The audience members leave with the memories of having experienced something truly special! These Coffee Houses are scheduled several times a year so check back here often to get on the list for the next one!

Concert Pianist, Gigi Boratgis, performed an evening of pieces from around the world. The concert, billed "Live Impressions" borrowing from her recently released CD, "Classical Impressions," took the audience on a tour as Gigi prefaced each piece with an anecdote about the composer and the significance of the work. Gigi's approachable manner and impressionistic touch on the piano gave everyone a musical evening not soon to be forgotten!

Harriet Schock and three of her songwriting workshop students took the stage at this unique showcase of singer/songwriter talent. Lesa Lukas started things off at the piano followed by Steve Wagner with guitar and then Heidi Frank back at the piano. Harriet closed the evening with a set of songs from her recent CD releases. The experience was like traveling around the world without ever having to leave your seat!

Yve invited a few of her closest friends and supporters and twice as many showed up for the recording date! Be on the lookout for the upcoming CD that came from that magical night at Theta Sound!
